Ms. Goyal
I have a Master's degree in Chemistry from India, a Master's degree in Science education from the University of Minnesota and a Doctorate in Instructional Leadership from Argosy University. This will be my 15th year at Central, and my 26th year as a teacher!!
I have 2 daughters who also have careers in science. My older daughter is a National Merit scholar who did medical school at the U of M, Neurology Residency and Fellowship at Stanford University, California. Now, she is a professor at Columbia University, NYC. Here she is, Dr. Tarini Goyal, on their web page https://www.neurology.columbia.edu/profile/tarini-goyal-md
My younger daughter is also a National Merit scholar and Presidential Scholar award nominee, who did Chemical Engineering at California Institute of Technology (CalTech). She worked for Samsung for 3 years, and has traveled to Taiwan, Germany and South Korea as part of her job.
In my free time, I love to pursue more artsy stuff like painting, knitting, crochet and sewing. During the summer of 2015, I greatly enjoyed teaching “Chemistry of Art” and a "Crochet and hand embroidery" class to middle school students, where I was able to combine my various interests.
I also spent 6 weeks of my summer at 3M as part of the TWIST program internship in 2012, where I was able to see science in action by working with scientists developing new products and testing them.
