Week fufilled

In celebration of Central pride, Homecoming week kicked
off on Mon., Sept. 26th. The theme days, put together
by Student
Council members, are creative ways to show school spirit.
Monday was Get Up and Go Day, students could take this opportunity
to come to school in their favorite pajamas, as long as it
was appropriate. Elementary Day was Tuesday, allowing stu-dents
to dress like they once did back in elementary school, or
students would be able to rep-resent their elementary schools.
Dress up day is always a favorite coinciding with Homecoming
Coronation, that evening. Stu-dents aunted their jazzy styles
with skirts, and suits. Thursday, the day of the schoolwide
pep-fest and homecoming game, had the whole Central student
body, staff, and faculty members rockin’ the red and
black. The upperclassmen usually wear t-shirts with their
class on it, and student athletes had on sports t-shirts
telling everyone what team they belonged to. Fri-day was
Minnesota Pride Day, where students showed their love for
Minnesota in Minnesota sweatshirts and Minnesota team jerseys.
Lunchroom activities were a must to participate in this year
with cereal eating contest, Twister, and a free style battle
attracting crowds to one end of the room. Sophomore Remy
T. said, “my favorite part was the hardcore rap battle
at lunch.”
Ebony Black said, “it was nice to see people step out
of their ordinary selves” with the theme days, and
activities within the school.
