Soccer Team: Back in Business

The Central boy’s varsity soccer team has had a great
season so far. Although they lost some key players last year,they
have really come through with regaining strength on the €eld.
Captains Johnson Thao,12, Ben Natala, 12, Greg Rosenthal,11,
and Jake Lor,12, have given the team their best efforts and
with the help of Jorey Erickson, the teams coach, winning
State doesn’t seem too hard!
With a record of 10-1-1, the team’s only competition
is Highland High School, who beat Central 1-0.Their overall
season record was 14-3-2. Although the defeat was upsetting
for the team, they bounced back and beat Arlington High School
3-1 four days later.
“
Our team has really improved since the beginning of the season.We
have learned to communicate better and use teamwork. The
experience has been wonderful,” said Andy O’Neill,10.
The boys’ lost to South Minneapolis in their €rst section
game.
