The
newest teacher to join Central’s math department
is Mr. Brian Paulson. He teaches Integrated Math two,
three, and three IB. Mr. Paulson expects to survive and
enjoy himself here at Central, which so far has been
a positive experience.
Mr.
Paulson grew up in New Ulm, Minnesota. He was raised
on a farm and attended New Ulm High School. Although
not in band, Mr. Paulson hung out with the band students.
A favorite high school memory was being able to be around
his friends. Another was his €rst job at a gas station
making pizzas. Mr. Paulson attended the University of
Minnesota for college, and this led him into a teaching
career. He wouldn’t mind being a civil engineer
or an automotive technician, but his main focus is teaching.
Teaching
students for two years in St. Paul has been a great experience
for Mr. Paulson. Be-fore coming to Central, he taught
at Hazel Park Junior High. He has enjoyed his €rst weeks
with Central staff and students, and his word of advice
is to keep all of your options open because you never
know what your future holds.
