The football season is over but not without some triumphs
to look back on. With a conference record of 5-1, the Minuteman
made it past the €rst round of the state tournament. Though
they lost in their next game, the Minutemen €nished on a
high note, “Preparation and team determination made
this season great. Its nice that I could be apart of it in
my last year,” said senior, Richard Hall. The team
had eight players named all-conference: junior, DeAngelo
Anderson, and seniors: Joela Davis, Christen Glass, D’Angelos
Svenkson, Mychel Stowers, Sean McColl, Dontell Wagner, and
Donald Schuette. On top of the awards, Stowers, and Svenkson
were named offensive players of the year.
Unfortunately, the team will loose 19 seniors to graduation,
includ-ing all four captains: Svenkson, Schuette, McColl,
and Montzka. But the Minutemen de€nitely have a season to
build on for the returning juniors and sophomores.
As Stowers states, the season can be summed up in two words, “Great
season.”
