on Dec. 9, captains Cul-len Geppert (Boys) and Claire Luby(Girls) were individual win-ners at the Tri-Metro meet held at Como Park. Geppert €nished with a time of 11:53 while Luby €n-ished with 13:15. The total boys’ scored 305, and the girls’ €nal score was 335. Coached by Robb Lageson, the captains are Aaron DeWahl (12), Joe Sigrin(12) Anne Goetz(11), Anna Lageson (12), Geppert, and Luby. Key players this season are former All-Confer-ence winners Geppert, DeWahl, and Luby.
On Sat., Jan. 7th, the Central skiers participated in the Mesabi East Invitational at Giants Ridge located in Biwabik, MN. DeWahl placed ninth out of 177 skiers in the Boys Varsity Classic, and Geppert placed 18th out of 193 in the Boys Varsity Freestyle. Ranked first skier in the state, Luby placed €rst out of 177 with a time of 18:17.5.
