Boys’ Basketball Has Slow Start, Starts Season.

Stumbling out of the gates, Central boys’ basketball team ran them-selves to a 2-5 record. But this con€dent team did not go into a panic mood. “We are about to go on a winning streak,” said con€dent senior captain, Adam Kado. The other captains are Michael Stowers(12) and Anthony Brown(12), as the key players that brought the team to it’s current 6-7 record. Conference play has just begun, “We should compete in this confer-ence,” said Coach Howell. On Jan. 17, they beat Como Park 46-39, in a tough defensive game. Como Park, Highland, Johnson are there big-gest competitors. Sitting on a perfect 3-0 conference record, the future looks bright; with strong performances from the guard position these guys can easily be crowned conference champion. So the season is not in lost, go out there a cheer this con€dent team. On Fri., Jan. 20, the boys’ beat Humboldt 66-51. Their next game is Fri., Jan. 27th against Harding at
