May 26th

The Multicultural Festival is a school-wide tradition at
Central. The festival will be on Fri., May 26
from 1-3 PM in Central’s
cafeteria. Student groups of 4-6 chose a country,
and make a dish of food to represent that country. Each
group must paint a booth representing their country, attend
a food safety class to prepare for their cooking day, and
make the food in which they wish to pass out at the festival.
Four committee heads are in charge of running the festival,
Betsy Heath (12), Molly Schneider (12), Violet Thor (12),
and Brooke Ullery (12). They are in charge of organizing
the meetings, painting days, shopping for food, and making
sure the festival runs smoothly. “We hope this year
will be as successful as it’s
been the previous years. We have started the process
of organizing the festival, and it’s been going very
smoothly,” said committee head,
Molly Schneider (12). There are meetings every
other Wednesday to discuss progress and upcoming events.
If students have any questions, there are information sheets
outside of 480, or you can contact any of the committee
heads.
