The four Gifted/Talented programs at Central
High School offer a choice of academically rigorous
courses for the highly motivated student. Complimenting
the intellectually curious, Central's International
Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement, College in the
Schools, and Quest programs prepare students for college
challenges and may lead to earning college credit
while still on the high school campus. Over 75% of
Central students are involded in a Gifted/Talented
program and we encourage parents and students to explore
programs in order to determine the best fit academically,
socially, and intellectually within the Central community.
School tours and student "shadowing" can
be arranged for a first hand observation of Central's
opportunities.
Central
celebrates and promotes its diversity,
understanding that divergent world views and experiences
enrich learning, broaden perspectives and contribute
to the individual's sense of personal responsibility
toward a productive, peaceful community.
