Things to know:

 

The University of Minnesota will be hosting an informational meeting on Tuesday March 4 from 8:00am until 10:00am in the cafeteria for students who have been accepted and will attend the U of MN TC in the fall.  Admission, housing and financial representatives will discuss the next step in your college career process.  For more information see Ms. Krejce.

 

The University of Minnesota Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science is holding a four day summer camp utilizing hands on learning principles of materials engineering.  This camp is open to junior or seniors who are inquisitive learners with strong math and science aptitude.   Students receive free meals, tuition, knowledge and entertainment.  The camp runs from June 10-13.  March 30 is the application deadline.  Apply on-line at www.mnasm.org/camp

ThreeSixty, the youth journalism program based at the University of St. Thomas is looking for 30 teens, grades 9 through 12 who want to tell stores and explore careers in journalism at a free camp this summer.  For registration information call 651-962-5282.

 

The 2008 VISIONS Award For Young Women are now accepting application from young female students who have faced challenge in their personal lives and have integrated their experiences of struggle into a mission that extends beyond themselves.  These young women should demonstrate vision and positive change in her community, and/or impacted the lives of adults and/or other youth with whom she has come in contact.  These young women will be honored at the 18th Annual Minnesota Conference on Adolescent Females April 15, 2008.  March 3 is the deadline.
