Biology is a laboratory course that studies cells, genetics, evolution,ecology, cycling of matter, flow of energy, organ systems, and thehistory and nature of science. Students investigate various problemsand study current issues through laboratory activities, scientificinquiry and projects, and independent work. Students will prepare labreports, study the textbook, and complete assignments on a regularbasis. This course prepares students to be scientifically literate aswell as prepare them for future biology and science classes.

This course is designed for students who have completed PhysicalScience.  Students will meet Minnesota Graduation Standards in LifeScience and the History and Nature of Science.  Students must consistently set aside time to study Biology to insure their success inthis class.  Hard work is a must!
