Class Atmosphere and Conduct Expectations:
This class, like all classes at Central, has a culture influenced byour diverse student population and the different values we mayhold.  Students also learn in different ways. This class willaddress these issues by providing learning experiences thatacknowledges these different learning styles and by providing aclassroom atmosphere that is open and nonjudgmental.  Points ofview may be actively argued but the speakers are to be respected asessentially fair-minded individuals working to enlarge their thinkingabout ideas and people.  We cannot be blamed for themisinformation we have learned, but we will be held responsible forrepeating misinformation after we have learned otherwise.  We eachhave an obligation to combat actively the myths and stereotypes aboutour own groups and other groups so we can break down the walls thatprohibit group cooperation and group gain.

Students are responsible for complying with the University of MinnesotaStudent Conduct Code and that of the Saint Paul Public Schools.
