Welcome to the world of AP Chemistry
 
ABOUT THE COURSE:
AP Chemistry is a challenging course that is equivalent to freshmancollege General Chemistry. There is AP exam in May and if studentscores 5 on the exam the vast majority of  colleges exempt the student from the General Chemistry (freashman) course. There is a high possibility for students to get exempted even with a grade of 4 provided the student shows a good lab report. (5 is same as A grade and 4  is  B). A grade of 3 is a passing grade and few colleges consider it to exempt a student from freshman chemistry. In general it is always great for a student to be enrolled in the AP class, as it helps the student in admission to a good college.
