English 10
English 10 is a yearlong course in which students will gain an appreciation of various types of literature. Students will learn background information about authors, writing styles, and literary elements to prepare them for the next level of high school English. Students will develop, practice, and improve their skills in the areas of reading, writing, literary analysis, and oral presentation. Students will write a variety of formal and informal papers involving the study of concepts and themes we discuss in literature.
